Here are comments from the jockeys in the Group 2 Hallmark Stud Eight Carat Classic

1st –Molly Bloom – Blake Shinn
She was delightful. We got a lovely run and displayed her class over the latter stages to get the better of Mary Shan. I think she will improve a lot heading towards the Karaka Millions. She’s a Group One winner and this is another nice Black Type to have on her CV. It was a pleasure to ride her and thankful to the connections asked to ride her

2nd –Mary Shan – Craig Grylls
Great run and she was game in defeat too. Sat just off the leader, gave a good kick after the turn but was run down but she was coming back at her last bit.

3rd – Grail Seeker – Joe Doyle
Ran a cracking race. Delighted with the effort. There’s plenty more races for her.

4th –Livid Sky – Sam Weatherley
Very good run. Lovely filly looking forward seeing her run over 2000 metres.

5th –Glamour Tycoon – Sam Spratt
Happy with the run.

6th – About Time – Vinnie Colgan
Going to be a nice mare next year.

7th – Tulsi – Michael McNab
Wasn’t disappointed with the run.

8th – The Yes Girl – Kelly Myers
She went a nice race considering she’s still pretty green.

9th – New Millennium – Masa Hashizume
Travelled well behind the winner until the corner but failed to respond when asked.

10th -Charmer – Courtney Barnes
Company a bit strong for her.

11th- Chica Mojito – Matthew Cameron
A bit over the top. Due for a break.

>Last – Sandoku – Ulrika Holmquist
Company too tough for her today.
