General Admission

Our general admission areas offer a relaxed way to enjoy an afternoon of racing, with great vantage points of the track and surrounds.

Take in the action from the covered, outdoor seating in the Ellerslie Stand, or head trackside to the public lawns for an up-close view of the home straight.

The Newmarket Room (ground floor, Ellerslie Stand) is open to the public on most racedays, with a range of tasty food and drinks available to purchase.

You’re welcome to bring along your own picnic food and unopened non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy in our outdoor general admission spaces. Chairs and picnic rugs are also welcomed. We have a range of children’s entertainment and indoor/outdoor games available, depending on the raceday and the weather.

General admission also gives you access to the public pathways around the stabling complex – a great way to take in the behind-the-scenes atmosphere.

TAB Winning Post access

If you’re a TAB account holder, you’ll have the option to spend your day in the TAB Winning Post (ground floor, Ascot Stand)* on selected racedays. To gain entry, simply check in at the door with your TAB account details. Please note, if we reach capacity, there may be a wait to enter until space frees up. Don’t have a TAB account? Sign up for your free one here. *The TAB Winning Post is an R18 space, except for children aged three and under when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
