Enjoy a relaxed day at the races - no ticket needed

Members of the public are invited to base themselves from within the TAB Winning Post (ground floor, Ascot Stand) for this mid-week raceday.

Cafe-style food and beverages will be available for purchase in this space, alongside self-service TAB betting terminals, screens broadcasting the day’s action and outdoor access adjacent to the Birdcage from where you can see the action of the winning post.

General admission also gives you access to the public pathways around the stabling complex – a great way to take in the behind-the-scenes atmosphere.

    • On-site parking is free and accessed through Derby Downs Place
    • All bars close shortly after the last race
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse
    • A dress code applies in hospitality areas. Please click here for more information
    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $2.00 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
    • Promotional photographs, social media content & film footage will be taken at this event. By entering the racecourse, event-goers consent to use of their image by the Club & New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing for promotional purposes
