The Newmarket Room (ground floor, Ellerslie Stand) is the hub of the day’s Irish festivities and the place to be if you want to fiddle de de your day away. Enjoy traditional Irish dancing, great racing and after the last race, live music which we promise will get the party started.
Plus! What Irish party is complete without a pint or two of the Emerald Isle’s finest? So naturally there’ll be plenty of Guinness on tap too, plus a few Irish food specials served up to purchase as well.
Not only this but we have plenty of grand ol’ racing on offer with the Manco Easter Handicap taking centre stage.
Best of all – the party’s on us: Yep, you heard it right. General admission into the raceday and the Irish Party is FREE.

We're bringing the energy after the last race with a band – and trust us, they’ll have the party well and truly started. Get ready for big beats and a soundtrack that’ll keep your feet moving long after the last race.

It’s free to watch, all are welcome – and yes, the energy is contagious.
The tie-up stalls at Ellerslie are open for everyone to enjoy a close-up look at the horses.
For everyone’s safety, please stick to the white-pebbled public accessways when you’re in this area and avoid entering any restricted areas unless you have the required accreditation.
Free overnight event carparking is accessible via 16 Derby Downs Place.
Mobility / accessible parking, drop-offs and foot traffic should enter via 100 Ascot Avenue. All cars entering off this road will need to exit the grounds via Mitchelson Street.
