Make the most of the final weekend of the summer holidays at Family Raceday at Ellerslie on Saturday 30 January!
With Auckland Anniversary Weekend providing a long weekend before school goes back, it’s the perfect opportunity to gather the family for a fun-filled day out. Enjoy an exciting afternoon of racing, headlined by the Colin Jillings 2YO Classic (Listed) and the Fulton Family Stakes (Listed), alongside a fantastic range of complimentary family entertainment.
Kids can enjoy everything from a bouncy castle, Kelly Sports, lawn games, face painting and plenty of space to run and play, while adults can soak up the racing action in a relaxed summer atmosphere. There’ll be cafe-style food, food trucks and bars open with drinks available for purchase, or you’re welcome to bring your own picnic food and unopened non-alcoholic beverages.
Bring your friends and family, and settle in for a memorable day at Ellerslie. Best of all, general admission is free, making it one of Auckland’s best-value family days out this summer.

Free general admission will get you access to mini golf holes, bouncy castle, lawn games, ponies to pat and facepainting which are free for all to enjoy on the Newmarket Lawn.
(In the event of poor weather, anything 'indoor-friendly' will be moved into the Newmarket Room on the ground floor of the Ellerslie Stand).
The tie-up stalls at Ellerslie are open for everyone to enjoy a close-up look at the horses.
For everyone’s safety, please stick to the white-pebbled public accessways when you’re in this area and avoid entering any restricted areas unless you have the required accreditation.
