MyRacehorse Counties Cup Day is the jewel in the crown of the local racing calendar – and General Admission is your ticket-free invitation to be part of it all.
Perfect for families, groups of mates, or anyone keen to enjoy a relaxed day trackside, GA gives you access to the heart of the action.
Spread out on the lawn next to the Parade Ring, watch the horses up close, or head to Level 4 of the Fulton Stand for a panoramic view as they thunder down the home straight.
You can grab something tasty from the on-site food vendors or bring your own picnic, unopened non-alcoholic drinks, and all the summer essentials like chairs, picnic rugs and umbrellas.
To help keep the younger racegoers happy, there’ll be free entertainment running throughout the day including face painting, ponies to pat, a bouncy castle, swing ball games and mini golf holes – making it a top pick for a low-fuss, high-vibe family outing.
Racegoers aged 18yr+ are welcome into The Lane after the last race for live music from DJ Sean Hill until close (entry conditions apply). Then, head into town to Appetite for the day’s official off-site afterparty.
Free General Admission and free activities for the kids make attending a ‘no brainer’.
We’ve got free face painting, ponies to pat, a bouncy castle, swing ball games and mini golf holes on offer throughout the day to keep to keep the little ones entertained between races.
Plus. the public are also invited to take through the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust’s on-site ambulance.
Racegoers aged 10yr+ can have a ride on the Premier Racehorse Simulator (until it leaves just before the day’s big race) and members of the public are also invited to come meet racing legend, Bostonian, by the Birdcage fence at 3.45pm.
