The New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Million took place at Pukekohe Park this season due to Ellerslie’s track upgrade but that didn’t take away from the seriously impressive racing on display at the industry’s richest (and most glamourous) raceday.

The $1m DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka Million 2YO and the $1m Karaka Million 3YO Classic headline a 6-race card with the Group 2 Westbury Classic, the Group 3 Brighthill Farm Yearlings Concorde Handicap, the Group 3 Cambridge Stud Almanzor Trophy and the Collinson Forex Karaka Cup all run in support.

The night saw Te Akau Racing take out their 7th consecutive Karaka Million 2YO – an achievement that cannot be understated and we also welcomed Roger James and Robert Wellwood into the Karaka Million club when their runner, Prowess, took out the 3YO feature.
