General Admission

Whether you’re here for the racing, a family day out or to catch the fashion action, general admission gives you access to a great range of spaces to enjoy your SkyCity Boxing Day Races at Ellerslie.

Watch the races from the covered, outdoor seating in the Ellerslie Stand, get close to the thunder of the track opposite the home straight, or set up a picnic on any one of the lawns within our general admission spaces.

The Newmarket Room (ground floor, Ellerslie Stand) will be open to all, serving a variety of tasty food and drinks with easy access to betting facilities.

Your general admission ticket also gives you access into The Infield, where free children’s entertainment will run throughout the day, and to the Fashions in the Field marquee where you can watch – or enter – the day’s style competitions.

You’re welcome to bring your own picnic food, unopened non-alcoholic beverages, and chairs or picnic rugs to use in the outdoor areas.

If you’re a TAB account holder, you can spend the day inside the TAB Winning Post (ground floor, Ascot Stand). Just check in with your TAB account details to gain entry. Don’t have a TAB account? Sign up for your free one here. Capacity is limited, so you may need to wait if the space is full.

Children under 15 enjoy free general admission when accompanied by an adult.

Senior citizen rates apply at the gate on the day (50% off the advertised ‘on the day’ general admission price upon presentation of a valid form of photo ID such as a Gold Card or driver’s licence).
