By purchasing a ticket to the Ellerslie Punter of the Year 2026 event (21 February 2026), you are agreeing to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
Terms and Conditions
All entrants who participate in this competition (the competition) are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
Entrants must not be banned or restricted, or excluded (including self-exclusions) by TAB/Betcha
Employees of Auckland Thoroughbred Racing (ATR) and any persons under the age of 18 are not eligible to enter this competition.
Entrant names must be disclosed to ATR, although a pseudonym (nom de plume) may be used for publicity purposes. The username/account number of the TAB/Betcha account must also be provided.
All entrants must have a TAB/Betcha online account to enter the competition. No manual entries will be accepted
$1,000 of betting funds validates entry and must be loaded onto an entrant’s online TAB/Betcha account no later than 30 minutes prior to the first scheduled race at either Ellerslie or Otaki. Only one TAB/Betcha account to be used per entry. You will be asked to verify these funds.
Entries will be accepted in order of receipt. When maximum numbers have been received, ATR reserves the right to cease taking entries.
A minimum of $100 must be invested on a minimum of 10 races. These can be either at Ellerslie or Otaki
There is no limit to the number of entries that one participant/team can make in the competition as long as each entry has its own individual name or nom de plume, is able to be clearly identified, and uses a different TAB/Betcha online account for each entry. There is no limit to the number of participants in a team.
Each entry must appoint a manager who is the official representative of the participant/team and is the sole point of contact for any of the competitions related communications.
The ATR Wi-Fi must be used or you must have your location turned on while participating in the Competition.
ATR reserves the right to view transaction history at any time and entrants must provide their balance in a timely manner when asked by ATR.
Only entrants are permitted in the room
The winner of the Main Prize will be the entrant who has achieved the highest balance after dividends have been paid on the last scheduled race at either Ellerslie or Otaki. In an event of a tie, the money will be shared equally between all tied entrants.
The decision on the winner is final, and no correspondence will be entered into between Entrain, ATR and the entrants.
If any entrant does not adhere to any of these rules and conditions, they may be disqualified.
Race to race multi bets cannot be taken as part of the Competition and bonus cash or bonus bets cannot be used either.
All bets made during the Competition are subject Entain racing and sports betting rules and general terms and conditions for accounts.
If the Competition cannot be run as planned for any reason, including for reasons beyond the control of ATR, ATR reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Competition (or any part of this Competition), at any time
ATR takes no responsibility for any inability to enter, complete, continue or conclude the Competition (or any part of the Competition) due to equipment or technical malfunction, acts of god or otherwise.
Failure by ATR to enforce any of its rights under these terms and conditions at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Entain and ATR takes no responsibility if a Prize Winner is unable to use any prize for any reason whatsoever.
Any personal information provided by an entrant in participating in this Competition will be held in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
