A relaxed day out for the whole family
Enjoy a relaxed day out at Ellerslie – with horse racing on track and free entry for all.
Families are sorted too – little ones can bounce, play and laugh their way through the afternoon with free entertainment, from mini golf holes, to a bouncy castle to some fun with swingball (lawn tennis) sets.
Plus, there’s free colouring packs available from the Raceday Office for the younger ones oncourse.
Pack a picnic (unopened, non-alcoholic drinks also welcome) or grab a bite from the food outlets, then find your spot on the lawn and take in the thrill of the races against a springtime backdrop.
It’s a simple, feel-good day at the races – no fuss, just fresh air and trackside fun.

If you're bringing the younger family members to our Spring Raceday, we've got their day sorted.
Free general admission will get you access to our mini golf holes bouncy castle and swingball sets on the Newmarket Lawn - all of which are free to use.
In the event of poor weather, the mini golf holes will be set up in the Newmarket Room but we might have to give the bouncy castle and swingball sets a miss.
Pick up a FREE colouring pack from the Raceday Office (ground floor, Ascot Stand) today.
They’re limited to one per child, and little ones will need to be with you when collecting just as they're limited editions, and so not to take home for others sorry.

Free overnight event carparking is accessible via 16 Derby Downs Place.
Mobility / accessible parking, drop-offs and foot traffic should enter via 100 Ascot Avenue. All cars entering off this road will need to exit the grounds via Mitchelson Street.
