New Zealand’s largest Melbourne Cup Day event returns to the ‘Big E’, bringing the thrill of live racing, top-tier hospitality, fashion, the iconic race from Flemington on the big screen and a party like nowhere else.
Whether you’re toasting with Champagne in a hospitality precinct, getting amongst in The Hill Lawn or spending the day your way in public areas on course, this is the Melbourne Cup Day experience Auckland talks about.

Come 5pm the race of everyone's lips, the 2025 Lexus Melbourne Cup, will be screened live from Flemington for all to see.
After the last race, racegoers are invited to keep the party going with us in Cuvée 'til later with live music from a band for two hours after the last race.

Free overnight event carparking is accessible via 16 Derby Downs Place.
Mobility / accessible parking, drop-offs and foot traffic should enter via 100 Ascot Avenue. All cars entering off this road will need to exit the grounds via Mitchelson Street.
