Mark your diaries and get ready to paint the town green because Auckland's favourite Irish Raceday is back in 2025! ​

It’s one of last hurrahs for the 2024/2025 season and rather than simmer down as we gallop towards the season’s finishing post, we want to throw one heck of party – and we all know nobody does it better than the Irish.

We’ll have traditional Irish dancing on show thanks to our friends at the Doyle Academy, live music so you can fiddle dee dee and dance the day away with us and what Irish party is complete without a pint or two of the Emerald Isle’s finest? So naturally there’ll be plenty of Guinness on tap too.

Not only this but we have plenty of grand ol’ racing on offer with the Listed Champagne Stakes headlining the on-track action.

When the last race is run and you’ve danced your heart out to our band, hop aboard a FREE bus from the racecourse to the official afterparty… because the craic doesn’t end at the finish line.

Best of all – the party’s on us:  Yep, you heard it right. General admission into the raceday and the Irish Party is FREE. Consider this your pot of golden goodness at the end of our racing season’s rainbow and what we’re claiming will be the highlight of your month of May.

Free general admission will get you access to our bouncy castle and swingball sets which are free to use. (Subject to weather conditions)

    • All bars close shortly after the last race
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse

    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $1.50 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
