Home to one of Ellerslie’s longest-standing feature races, Manco Easter Handicap Day combines tradition, thoroughbreds and a relaxed afternoon at the track.
Join us oncourse at Ellerslie to celebrate a great day’s racing including the Group 3 Trelawney Stud Championship Stakes and the 152nd running of the Group 3 Manco Easter Handicap, recognised as one of the premier miles on the New Zealand racing calendar.

Free general admission will get you access to our bouncy castle and swingball sets which are free to use (subject to weather conditions).
The tie-up stalls at Ellerslie are open for everyone to enjoy a close-up look at the horses.
For everyone’s safety, please stick to the white-pebbled public accessways when you’re in this area and avoid entering any restricted areas unless you have the required accreditation.

Free overnight event carparking is accessible via 16 Derby Downs Place.
Mobility / accessible parking, drop-offs and foot traffic should enter via 100 Ascot Avenue. All cars entering off this road will need to exit the grounds via Mitchelson Street.
