Enjoy local racing and catch the action live from Moonee Valley while you're at it

We’re hosting a day of local racing at Ellerslie, with the 105th running of the Cox Plate also screened live on course.

A variety of outlets ensure your food and drink needs are covered, or you’re welcome to bring a picnic and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy in our outdoor, public areas.

Fun for the whole family

If you're bringing the younger family members to our Cox Plate Raceday, we've got their day sorted.

Free general admission will get you access to our bouncy castle and swingball sets which are free to use (subject to weather conditions).

Cox Plate screened live

Catch the Cox Plate live on the big screen in the TAB Winning Post.

All racegoers welcome to come watch - no TAB account is required to gain entry into the TAB Winning Post after the last race.

    • On-site parking is free and accessed through Derby Downs Place
    • All bars close shortly after the last race with the exception of the TAB Winning Post which will remain open for viewing of the Cox Plate
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse
    • A dress code applies in hospitality areas. Please click here for more information
    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $2.00 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
    • Promotional photographs, social media content & film footage will be taken at this event. By entering the racecourse, event-goers consent to use of their image by the Club & New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing for promotional purposes
