Welcome to the all-new The Stir’Up Infield Festival in association with The Grand Tour – your party HQ in the infield.

While removed from the spoils of the winning post and located down the home straight, within the centre of the racetrack, big screens keep you close to it all – no binoculars needed – and you’ll experience the buzz of the horses racing right past you as they make their way down the home straight.

But that’s not all – the heart of The Grand Tour lives here, with DJs dropping beats from a custom bar and stage AND after the last race you’re welcome to head under the racetrack and through the underpass to the Birdcage Bash for the official on-site after party (entry conditions apply; see event page for more).

Good vibes, great company, and non-stop action – it all starts here.

Your ticket includes:

  • A welcome drink on arrival
  • Access to a cash bar stocked with sparkling wines, local and imported beers, RTDs and non-alcoholic options
  • General admission to the racecourse and The Stir’Up Infield Festival, including a racebook*
  • Access to limited unreserved cocktail-style seating and lawn space, with limited shade available
  • Food truck food available to purchase
  • You’ll also gain access into our legendary Birdcage Bash afterparty in association with The Grand Tour, located in the Birdcage after the last race**.

    • On-site parking is free
    • All public and shared hospitality bars close shortly after the last race with the exception of the The Grove (Newmarket Lawn) and the Birdcage Bash onsite afterparty (held within The Birdcage hospitality precinct and the neighbouring raceday Birdcage)
    • Entry into The Grove and the Birdcage Bash is free for racegoers after the last race; R18; Dress code applies; Entry subject to space, Intoxicated or disorderly persons not permitted or tolerated. Bar and event close time is at the discretion of management. Drink limits may apply
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse
    • A dress code applies in hospitality areas  but no official dress code applies in this precinct (a tidy standard of dress is expected, however). Please click here for more information and be mindful that entry into the Birdcage Bash afterparty is subject to a dress code
    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $2.00 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
