The Champagne Lawn is one of the SkyCity Boxing Day Races’ most in-demand precincts – known for its buzzing atmosphere, great trackside position and shared lawn vibe that makes mixing and mingling part of the experience.

Set right beside the action and with a welcome drink on arrival, lunch and something sweet to finish, it’s the kind of Boxing Day experience that’s hard to beat.

Your Champagne Lawn ticket includes:

  • Buffet lunch designed by ATR Executive Chef Paul Barrett, featuring seafood, gourmet hot dishes and seasonal salads made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients

  • Seating is in tables of 8.  If less than 8 tickets are purchased, you may be required to share your table with others
  • As this is an outdoor precinct, access to shade is limited, so dress smart and stay sun-safe.

    • On-site parking is free and accessed through Derby Downs Place
    • All bars close shortly after the last race with the exception of The Paddock and Cuvée
    • Racegoers are welcome into The Paddock or Cuvée after the last race although entry conditions apply: R18; intoxicated and / or disorderly persons will not be permitted or tolerated; drink limits may apply; entry is subject to capacity; close time is at the discretion of management. A dress code applies in Cuvée
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse

    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $2.00 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
