High-stakes racing takes centre stage

Group racing takes centre stage with crucial lead-ups to Champions Day's biggest races.

An unmissable afternoon of racing at Ellerslie featuring the Group 1 Otaki-Maori WFA Classic, alongside key lead-ups to Champions Day’s features including The NZB Kiwi, Trackside New Zealand Derby, Auckland Cup and more.

FREE children’s entertainment including swingball sets and bouncy castle (subject to weather conditions) will be in action on the Newmarket Lawn to help keep the little ones entertained.

If you're bringing the younger family members to Eagle Technology Avondale Cup & Guineas Day, we've got their day sorted.

Free general admission will get you access to our bouncy castle and swingball sets which are free to use.

    • On-site parking is free and accessed through Derby Downs Place
    • All bars close shortly after the last race
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse
    • A dress code applies in hospitality areas. Please click here for more information
    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $2.00 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
