Located on the Barrett Lawn, with sweeping views of the track, there’ll be plenty of amazing “wish you were here” photo opportunities as the horses gallop past in the background.

Start the party off right with a drink on arrival, tuck in to some delicious food from the pop-up food truck, watch the action of the day’s black-type racing and enjoy the company of mates in this sell-out precinct.

This spot is also home to The Grand Tour Bar complete with incredible viewing deck.

Then, after the last race, keep the fun going with your mates, or “mix and mingle” with others from the day (if you know what we mean!) at the official afterparty further down on the Newmarket Lawn until the event closes. Our friends from The Grand Tour have lined up Kiwi icons, The Black Seeds, to hit the stage after DJ, Arii Jade – how good?!

A sell-out kind of hotspot, tickets will be allocated strictly in order of payment.

    • On-site parking is free and accessed through Derby Downs Place
    • All bars close shortly after the last race with the exception of the on-site afterparty on the Newmarket Lawn
    • Afterparty entry conditions apply: Intoxicated persons will not be permitted or tolerated, first-in-first served, space is limited
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse

    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $1.50 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
