Jockey Comments – Group 3 Haunui Farm Counties Bowl

1st – Ardalio – Kozzi Asano – Very good run. Nice horse.

2nd – Twain – Vinnie Colgan – Super run. Tried hard.

3rd – Midnight Edition – Matt Cameron – Huge run. He got a fright halfway down the straight for no reason and cost himself but he still went well.

4th – Imprevu – Elen Nicholas – Super run. Got squeezed for some room a little but really pleased with her effort.

5th – Pour The Wine – Warren Kennedy – Unfortunately she missed the start and we settled further back than we wanted to be. Great run.

6th – Hitabell – Sam Collett – Super run short of her best distance. Got held up a little but was strong to the line.

7th – Whiskey ‘N Roses – Matt Cartwright – Great run. 1100m too short but 1400m next start will be better off.

8th – Lhasa – Joe Doyle – He went a decent race. He kicked at the top of the straight and I thought we’ll be right in it. He’ll pop up in one of these top group sprint races.

9th – Reward Smile – Kelly Myers – I’m happy with his run in a strong field. He was in it till the last bit when he blew out.

10th – Sacred Satano – Craig Grylls – No comment.

11th – Shoes – George Rooke – No comment.

Last – Johny Johny  – Darren Danis – From a wide draw tracked Midnight Edition but retreated in run home.
