Types of Bets
A flutter is made easy with these quick bet types and they are a great way to add even more excitement to your day out.
All bets are placed in $1 multiples (i.e you can bet $1 but you can’t bet $1.50)

Win
As easy as it sounds, choose the horse (the runner) who you think will finish first. Should your horse win, you will win the win dividend x what you bet on it.
For example: If you put $5.00 on a horse to win, and the win dividend was $3.00, you would walk away with $15.00.
Place
Choose a runner to finish in first, second or third place (only if there are 8 or more runners will 3rd place be paid out). Should your horse be placed, you will win the place dividend x what you best on it.
For example: If you put $10.00 on a horse to be placed, and the place dividend was $2.50, you would walk away with $25.00.
Each Way
An each-way bet is like having two bets in one. It combines a win and a place bet on the same runner. If your runner wins you will collect both the win and the place dividend or if your runner comes in second or third you will collect the place dividend.
For example: A $1 Each Way bet costs $2, a $2 Each Way bet costs $4 and so on.
Quinella
Choose two runners to come in 1st and 2nd in either order. You can name your price from $1.
Trifecta
Choose three runners to come 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the correct order. The runners must come in the order you select and if they do, you could be in to win big.
Box It
You can choose to ‘box’ a Quinella or a Trifecta to increase your chances.
Boxing a Quinella means that you can choose as many runners as you like and if any two of them finish 1st and 2nd you will win the Quinella dividend.
Boxing 3 runners = $3, 4 runners = $6, 5 runners = $10.
For a Boxed Trifecta pick as many horses as you like and if any of them finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd you will win the Trifecta dividend.
Boxing 3 runners will cost you $6
Boxing 4 runners will cost you $24...and so on.
Gimme 5
This is a great way to bet with your friends. For $10 choose 5 horses and if any of your 5 horses finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd you will win a percentage of the Trifecta.
Easy Bet
Can’t decide? Take an Easybet (it's like a lucky dip).
Easybets are available for Win, Quinella and Trifecta bets.
Just ask the TAB operator for an Easybet (Quinella / Trifecta etc) and the computer will pick the runner(s) for you.
The most popular Easybet amounts are $4 and $8
