Key points of how to wear a suit
On a three-button suit only the middle or top two buttons should be fastened. On a two-button suit only the top button should be fastened. A part of your shirt cuff should always be seen coming out of your jacket (only 1-2 centimeters).

The Fit - Jacket, Trousers, Waist
The jacket collar rests flush against your shirt collar. The jacket cuff allows for 1-2 centimeters of shirt to show when the arms are at rest. When buttoned there should be no creases radiating from the fastened button.  For the fashion style confident there is a trend to wear suit jackets very snug but you have to be in tip top shape.

The jacket should be long enough to cover your backside and its sleeve long enough to meet your wrist. When buying a suit don't just stand in front of the mirror - move around.  This will give you a better idea of fit. Make sure your trouser legs connect with your shoes with a little puff at the bottom of your leg. It is better to have your trouser a friction too long than too short. You should be able to slip two fingers into the waistband of your trousers.
